Trek told me one time. They took my chain off when I was in there and they grabbed a new quick link.
I wouldn’t want to test that theory with the massive amount of Watts I put out.
When I did the R8000 build on the Litespeed, I made the chain 2 links longer than Big/Big, and discovered it had slack, so I opened the Shimano Quick Link I'd JUST installed, cut out a link, and put it back together with the same Quick Link. I did a quick check, and people DO reuse them without incident, but I figured I'd order a couple KMC links anyway.
Which reminds me, I really should actually order those.....
