Our trip is this weekend, short day tomorrow, looking fwd to it! The peak is at 14,000 and change and the TH is at like 5,5000, so we have our work cut out for us! Three nights in the mountains to lighten the trek a bit since a couple in our group aren't the fastest hikers. Hopefully there isn't a lingering steep snow field at the pass that requires an ice axe. Haven't been able to get ahold of the ranger. With the elevation gain you don't want to bring anything extra haha.
I just got back from the mountains (Jasper) and it feels like winter. Snow at elevation, fallen leaves, below freezing at night.
