Nooooo. Most breads are zero problem with a sharp knife - something like challah can be cut so cleanly that I could cube it and put it back together and it would look uncut. Really crusty breads can be problematic, even for very sharp knives, because the edge will just slide on that tough shell, but a little poke with the point will put a ***** (I bet that's going to be censored) in the armor and it's easy work thereafter.
