I never asked him what it was like to watch Jackie Robinson play and I wonder about that even more. We watched so much baseball together and it never occurred to me until after he was gone.
My dad was not happy about Jackie Robinson being allowed into the league. He hated the Dodgers and that might be part of it.
He mellowed a bit when he got older.
