I assume you mean on an athletic heart rate monitor. On an EKG or four-lead telemetry monitor they are distinct. SVT has a narrow QRS interval, indicative of source above the ventricle. V-tach has a wide QRS characteristic of a ventricular origin.

Agree on all points, I referred only to conventional athletic HRMs, and, by “subjectively,” meant how it feels to the subject. I think we will also agree that there are a few seconds of conscious terror in a VF arrest and a short run doesn’t necessarily produce LOC.
