On the front wheel they will ruin the steering feel. The tread pattern does not handle the loads correctly, so the transition between straight-line riding and cornering is abrupt.
Hard to believe that they went into production without road-testing, though there have been other tires with similar sorts of issues such as Panaracer's "TT Radial" tires.
