That's the cheapest option and funny enough I bought our newer cannondale tandem in the Myrtle beach area and managed to bring it back north in the Optima, but I had to remove the handlebars and wheels. Kia made a small opening so when the rear seats are down you don't have a wide area to slide the bike in, apparently they didn't anticipate fitting a tandem inside a sedan.
