Two projects.
First is the replacement of the stem on the De Rosa. I acquired a black version and wanted to see if the bike looked better. Nothing but aesthetics for change. Pics will like go to the build thread when done wrapping the bars.
Second is the 8v conversion to 9 or 10v cassette on an older 8v Record hub. There were two barriers, well three. A 26mm lock ring was purchased at an exorbitant price to go with the postage priced TI cassette hub. The second is to decide to buy a 10v cassette to go with the existing 10v Ergo or to find a reasonably priced 9v Ergo, preferably Chorus or Record. I think finding a 9v index ring to replace the 10v index ring in the Ergo is futile. Why are 9v parts so scarce? I would have expected lots of moves to 10v.
