ascherer , I have some SunTour thumbshifters if you’re interested. I’ve had them on several upright bar builds, most recently a Raleigh Competition. They’ll work fine up to 7 speeds, I’d guess.
I run suntour XC thumb shifters on a bike with a 10 speed rear end, works fine.
