Took the Surly Trucker DeLuxe out and rode East.
Before the ride had properly started, I watched a couple of folks on paddleboards playing on the Mystic River like waterbugs.
Central Avenue, Medford, becomes Medford Street, Malden as it crosses the Fellsway. This is the locus of much of the Playing In Traffic component of this ride. Here I sit, waiting for a green light with a dozen of my closest friends.
Speaking of lights, this one at the intersection of Fellsway East and Highland Avenue, Malden, turned red at pretty much exactly the wrong time, interrupting a long, fast descent down Fellsway East. The brakes worked, I'm pleased to say.
Heading West, I bid adieu (with an appropriate mantra, of course) to the Kurukulla Center, and its stupa, for another week.
