They're fine, though not spectacular. The only 'adjustment' I have done to them is hooking up the brake cable to the the straddle. I daresay they have the original 28-year-old pads on them (AFAIK) and would likely improve with a modern upgrade. At any rate, I've not ridden this bike with more than myself and 10 lbs of baggage yet, so I haven't really asked too much of them so far.
