I'll confess to owning 7 bikes currently. Most of them are from the 70s and 80s. Most of them have been cobbled together. Seems like building and repairing bicycle is a bit of a hobby for me.
Surprisingly, for purpose of transportation right now, I pretty much use just one.

I own exactly one bike. I do splurge a bit on this one bike, but I'm pretty strict about limiting myself to one. My riding tends to be be mostly utilitarian, I live in a small urban space, and I can only ride one bike at a time, so this seems to work for me.
