That sucks. IANAL but I'd take the time to document the stuff that's wrong so that you have a better chance of getting any deposit and prorated rent back.
Oh there's pictures and video. We didn't move anything in and I don't even have the keys. Didn't fill out the incoming inspection report either. I also sent them an email with pics and descriptions of the worst offences a little after we arrived.
Fingers crossed the staff are decent human beings who just put too much trust in the "maintenance" crew who did the work and didn't feel like they had to check their work.
