Yep. Thank goodness for a mechanic who took the time to explain the situation to us. Also thank goodness for whatever it was that finally got the test to run (or whatever), because that Drive Cycle protocol is just bonkers. We kept putting it off ("I was waiting for you to tell me when we were going to do it." "Yeah? I was waiting for YOU!") and then, when we FINALLY went to the car to do it, filled with dread that it wouldn't work, I checked the reader and it had cleared!
EDIT: Also, thanks to you for making me realize we should be more cautious about dropping the cash on the cats.
