When I was 30, Mrs. JG and I got married, and she dragged me off to the eye doctor, who diagnosed astigmatism. Mrs. GJ asked how it affected what I saw. He said, "Everything he sees appears taller and thinner than it really is."
She asked, "Does he HAVE to get glasses?"
Since I have a younger wife, I often tell her that she cannot wear contacts or glasses in bed.
