Brought my Fondriest to sunny Calif (54*) to get in some dry miles. Headed out to do 30 miles and two miles into it, just avoided a bunch of glass. Because I had a one mile fast descent coming up I stopped and check the tires just in case, which I never do, but since I am 600 miles from home....

checked the back tire, which I checked before leaving found a chunk missing with cord showing through. Turned around and rode the two miles back. All the local bike shops are closed today. Just griping but hate missing a nice day. Tomorrow is another day. Snow forecast at home tomorrow. Poor baby.
