Okay? Not okay? Would it be alright if I just wrapped the fork blades with copious electrical tape where I mount the pclips?
The Tubus clamps are far better than normal vinyl coated P-clamps. They mount very solidly and aren’t likely to move like P-clamps do. They come with a friction tape for the install so use that instead of electrical tape and make sure the clamp is tight enough to keep from moving on the fork blade but not so tight that it causes damage to the blade. As long as the clamp stays in place, you shouldn’t have any issues with damaging the metal.
