A few years ago, I was doing laps on an ~800' climb- about 7.5%.
On one of the laps, a runner appeared ahead and I thought no problem, I'll catch him,
but he stayed ahead for 2/3 of the hill, and powered on up a trail at the top of the pavement.
A cat 6 race of shame...
