I believe the term originated with Eben Weiss (BSNYC as was)? In full: 'crabon fibré'. In practice this has been shortened, here in teh Biek Formz, to 'crabon'.
Not sure about the acceptability of 'feebray' (feeble phonetic transcription of 'fibré')? A bit lazy, in my opinion, and loses the
poseur (fake French) appeal of the original.
