I'm working on a parts bin build of my Pinarello Montello to make sure I like the fit and geometry well enough to commit to the expense of polish, paint and decals.



I would apologize for the noisy background in this image except that it helps mask the atrocity of what I've done -- Tiagra 4600 on a Montello.

The saddle, stem+adapter+shim+handlebars aren't so pretty either, but it does get pretty close to what I think the final fit will need to be without buying anything I didn't have in the garage. Most of the real parts for this bike (Campy Athena) are sitting at the post office waiting to be picked up, but I didn't want to commit to installing a Power Torque crankset without a few test rides either.
