Could it be due to thier being 23 mm tires?
I put the Michelins on no problem, no flats I just didn't care for the dead ride they gave.
I also tried a wire bead ultra deport I have due to an ordering error. Also No bueno. Can't remember when I've been this frustrated.
Also had a flat on my recovery ride this morning. Had to use my only surviving backup tube to get back to the car.
You're probably not using Pedro's levers. And a bead jack.
