I just thought having the generic 110 might not add too much value to a collector vs the bad stock 86bcd with good rings. If I was buying, I would look at that as a challenge but the look of the stock fluted one would be an inspiration. Perhaps a vintage buyer might even have access to someone with the proper kit to do the inserts too.

I saw a Stronglight 99 for 35 lbs English plus 11 shipping with no rings. Seems to be maybe $65. Perhaps I will ask $425 as is at the swap meet. I didn’t pay much for this bike. I may also decrease the value a bit and take the front rack for my 89 1000LT to match the stock rear. It seems these front racks are pretty rare.
