Ive built a couple road bikes up for my wife...then sold em as they didnt fit well.
She rides a 5 year old Cannondale Synapse and loves it. Rides used to be 25-50mi, but now they are at/under 20mi or so.
Last fall I did build a 1x9 drivetrain Trek 930 MTB for her that fits really well. Not really c&v, even though its very dated.
