Independent front suspension that leans A LOT. Does it require the rider to keep it upright, or is it somehow rapid acting auto levelling?

I would encourage you to evaluate adding some Kingpin Inclination. It should help brake steering A LOT. Are the front brakes tied together? Still, as as safety issue, brake steering is bad.

I think you can also adjust camber and castor to naturally tilt the bike a little on corners.
