59 was the crossover year when a lot of things changed and Schwinn started using the top of the line foreign parts that were becoming very popular and necessary to compete at the races and in sales.

They are called Schwinn Paramount adjustable sliding stem, double sliding stem, Major Taylor stem.

It is Schwinn branded as is the SP and brake calipers, HS is Schwinn but is not branded, complete wheels are original as is the paint.

This was a huge get for me, price was not bad, it shares my birthday and is the only one I have seen that was/is this original and complete that I could have ever gotten my hands on.

It's the flagship of my Paramount's that currently number at 5.
