was also puzzled by the presence of the stamped dropouts on the subject machine

have had five 1960's era GP's pass through me workshop and all exhibited the Campag 1010 forged dropouts paired with stamped fork ends

one possible cause for the variation here could be parts shortage and a case of using up what was in the bin

was also slightly surprised by the three-arm Magistroni chainset as tend of think of the GP's of this era as coming through with the "Y" chainset

checked over at condorino where there are exhibited two 1961 GP's - one kitted with the Y chainset and one with a standard three-arm
so evidently Bozzi went back and forth in their use...

also shown is a 1964 GP which wears a three-arm Magistroni chainset
the cycle was taken in without pedals and Mark writes that the correct pedals could be either Way-Assauto or Campag so the Campags on the subject machine may well be OEM bits...
