How about Space Food Sticks, in the 60s? In my memory, they were the precursor to energy bars. Anyone remember anything like that earlier?
My mom bought some for my brothers and me, once, and nobody liked them. I don't like energy bars to this day. When PowerBars came out, I hated them, especially in cold weather. Clif Bars looked like dog poo mixed with sawdust. All the rest just seem like candy bars for adults. What's wrong with a bag of nuts and raisins?
