Serendipity

Hello everyone, just a cool little story from the other night:

I don't ride much once it's dark. We live in a community with lots of critters which like to appear out of the darkness and try to stop you by freezing right in front of you. A week ago my son waited for a deer to leave our front yard so he could open the garage and another night it was a fox. It just sat there waiting for him to leave, I suppose. In the spring we had a bear wandering around down the block. You know, nature.

Anyway, I decided to take an early night ride. The boulevard lights on our main road would be on and I wasn't planning a long ride. Just an evening spin. As I was turning onto our main road I noticed someone who looked to be working on a bike. As I got closer I realized it was my neighbor. I got off my bike and aimed the light where he was focused. He smiled and then turned to me.

"Harv? " He had that quizzical yet surprised look on his face. We solved his problem and he joined me for the ride.

Serendipity.
