If you don't measure you won't know.
We'd have no idea whether you like high waters or pants that touch the ground and get their hem dirty.
I take one of those steel tape measures that framers use and stick it snug in my crotch. Then extend the tape till it touches the ground. Then add in the measurement for the body of the tape measure that is usually printed on them. Generally 3.25" unless you use metric.
