Kind of late to the trainer discussion, but I've had a gen1 Hammer since 2017 and it's been great. I got it largely because of the flywheel and it was well reviewed. Have not been disappointed. It is loud, probably, but so are my fans and I use earbuds on the trainer.

Finished week 1 of base 2, pretty much the same kind of structure as base 1, doing longer endurance Tues and Sun (this past week 2.5 and 3 hrs respectively, increasing each by 15mins each week), Wed 90mins z2, Fri 60min z2, and Thurs and Sat sweet spot using TR adaptive training. I'm at 8.4 for sweet spot, so basically doing 4x20s. The SSB2 HV plan I got served from TR has a lot of level 9 stuff for this week, and honestly I don't think I'd be able to handle so much sweet spot, and I can do a lot of sweet spot. I'm sure the adaptive training would scale me back somehow, but I'm liking my current endurance/sweet spot hybrid plan.
