I'm 5'10, wife is 5'2". The Lectric XPedition came out exactly when we were looking to buy such, and we wound up buying one of the first ones. We routinely switch drivers without any great hassle. Like any compromise, it's not perfect. It's well sized for her, and adequately sized for me (I wind up in a very upright position, which isn't my preference). But the handlebar and stem quickly release and can be repositioned in a couple of seconds without any tools.
To answer your question, it's possible to rearrange this cockpit very quickly with a cantaloupe's worth of mechanical aptitude. Sharing the bike is simply not a problem.
