I came up with a good/bad idea the other day in ordering some frame tubes. The 28.6 top tube on this 49cm frame is just dumb. I ordered a 25.4 (0.7-0.4-0.7 mm walls) top tube and thinner walled seat tube. I do think it would be more advantageous (sp) to just have the entire rear triangle redone in smaller diameter tubes. We shall see where this goes.
seems like it would be easier and cheaper to just go with a new frame. be an interesting project and interesting to see how heavy the xoxo tubes are in comparison. I am sure you have your reasons for doing it but why not just look for a different frame?
