Thanks, I am a bit of a perfection freak and now realize I have to see this bike in person (one and a half hours from me). to really check out the chrome. If the chrome is bad then no go, I can mess with paint and polish alloy or steel but not badly pitted or corroded chrome.
If all is cool it will be a fun winter project
It can be tough buying long distance. That is one of the nice things about the forums you can often find someone close to checkout and bike and maybe help pack n ship it.
