After recent news, it should be clear that there are many, and it seems increasing numbers, of crazy and violent people committing senseless acts. When on my bike, I'm all about making friends and riding defensively and I drive my car the same way. I don't think that riding with tails between our legs serves any purpose but being friendly and very careful and alert does.
