If it's something like
this, then yes, that's exactly the kind of bike I'd want for a camping tour. You'll need to decide what kind of handlebars you like for touring -- in my experience drop bars are overrated (though you do have a lot of open fields and high winds in the NL, don't you?), but you do want a variety of hand positions.
