Rear shock MTB need to use thread-locker compound?

I taken apart MTB with rear shock and putting it back together now, am i supposed to use blue thread-locking compound anywhere e.g. on the bolts holding the shock itself or the bottom bolts holding plastic bushings around which rear tail pivots?

Asking because i see left over blue thread-locking compound on the shock bolts and also some kind of solid residue that looks like thread locker on one side of lower mount.
