Yes - the Giordana FR-C bibs are excellent. I bought them on sale last year, and now I can't find them discounted anywhere. However, my Rapha pro team bibs are almost as good and retail for about $75 less. Which Raphas did you get that you don't like and that cost more than the Giordanas?
I haven't tried the Black Bibs, but thus far, my experiences with lower priced shorts have been painful. Maybe I'll give them a shot. I see no reason to get stingy when it comes to my back side though.
