I don't know what the model would be, but I think an early Cannondale should be on the list. Yeah, Klein may have been first/better/whatever, etc, etc, but pretty much everyone recognizes a Cannondale immediately.

exactly what it is, nothing else like that.
Early 'Dales are very cool, the giant downtubes stand out, even next to modern bikes. The
Black Lightning would probably be the hero/halo model; a track bike with gears and brakes, it was a badass back in the day.
