Very similar to mine. Add to it us making him sit in the tent all day at a race every weekend. Even backup batteries wear out eventually.
The oldest caught on and really does love cross now. Said to me the other day, "I really miss riding outside. Can't wait for spring." I hope the other good things in his life come to him easier than this did.
