The other thing is, I think Mrs. GJ is going through the "Oh, look at this cute old house! Don't we want to live there?" phase, which I'm mostly past. We used to joke about our flat in The Richmond in SF that it had "charm", by which we meant "Nowhere near enough electrical outlets" - but, I mean, it was built in 1929. Two double outlets in a 12'x25' living room probably seemed extravagant!
It was always fun when I turned on the power amp and the lights flickered as the capacitors charged up......
That's what I grew up with in an old farmhouse in CT. Never again.
