Not sure if it's the grooved track, or if this is just how Swissstop pads are, but I don't think they're going to last very long. But maybe that's just the price you pay for good carbon braking.
It's a small.price to pay, for good braking performance.
A set of Shimano JO2A disc brake pads is about $17, and I go through 4-5 sets per year. I don't care about the cost, if my brakes work great when I need them.
