Just the basics from Gary Fisher. Although I'm biased towards touring bikes of which I have 5 or so, I recently acquired a 1995 Gary Fisher Zebrano. This is possibly one of the first hybrid bikes Fisher produced and it saves some of the good features of early attempts along that line. Its a chrom moly frame (which later went to aluminum); its has 700c rims (which later went to 26" and back again); it has flat bars which was part of the reason for wanting an around town bike; and canti brakes and clots of clearance for wider tires. To its credit it had lived much of its life in the deserts of Southern California and hence had no rust and little use.

A bikr from S CA desert. No rust.. 1995 vintage.

At 78 I wanted flat bars around towm

Chrome moly tubing

700c wheels and comfortable gearin
