You're going to pay for them and you're going to ride them, so you're the only one that needs to be happy with this.
This arrangement is pretty common for several reasons. The front wheel is now affected by cross winds and benefits (in gusty conditions) from a shallower rim for better control. Enve sells $3,000 wheel sets that are "asymmetric" and $1,500 ones that match.
Again, do what makes you happy, I'm just telling you why this is a thing.
