My wife made us poggies/bar mitts for riding in South Dakota in the winter. Now that we have moved to Missouri, I hope we need them much less often ;-) We both have full finger gloves, and we just know when it is cold enough to need the bar mitts. When you breath in through your nose and your nose freezes closed it is cold enough!
