My closeout EMS house brand ones seem to have a liner inside the leather upper that holds some moisture, doing better now that I bring them into the heated space and remove the insole overnight so they can more thoroughly dry.
Stretching them from wear to the point where I can wear a wigwam type wool sock over a smartwool type one seems to help, too. Have contemplated trying to replace the usual insole with some dense wool felt from an industrial supply place to get more insulation from the sole in the toe area.
thank you. wet from what?
- perspiration? not yet. not that I'm aware of. but I'll keep an eye on that
- I haven't tested them radically against water intrusion from the outside. don't really plan to. but you know what they about plans ... it's good to have one, so you know what's NOT going to happen!

I have tried felt insoles, but those alone, aren't enough for my toes, which seem to have virtually no blood circulation
