As I understand in the not too distant future a bike path will be completed connecting Dallas and Ft Worth.
They now say in late 2022 2023. (Fun fact: I went to a meeting on this in 1980.)

That would be a 30 to 40 mile ride depending on where one stops.
65 miles DT to DT - it meanders a good bit.

If they ever When they get it finished, there'll pretty much be path/cycle lane from Lake Benbrook to Allen. In the meantime, my route using as much path as exists now:
