If accurate and it sounds right, that is the first time I heard why sidewall cuts are an issue. I always wondered how one gets a cut on the side wall unless they run right alongside something. I had my share of flats with cont 4000s, but never on the sides. Probably luck and local roads has a lot to do with it.
