Thank you for the heads up. I've kind of daydreamed about a non-knobby 1 3/8" tire since getting a wheelset with a Specialized 27 x 1 3/8" Expedition tire. I had no inclination to go any more than 5-10 miles from home on those 30+ year old tires, but they felt nice. I can imagine that if the tire were just a hair larger it would not be as... nice.
