An example of Shimano engineering at its best, and worst. The sort of high end component that makes people think that high end components are not durable, except they are if maintained as they should be. At that time, many high end bikes with Dura Ace groups were specced with Ultegra bottom brackets so that their owners would not have to deal with regular overhauls of the bottom bracket. Frankly, I would love to get my hands on one of these
