welp. it's july. almost.
i set a goal early this year of 6,000 miles and 360,000 feet of climb.
strava is smart enough to know that the end of june 30 is quite half the days in the year, so with 2,989 miles i'm a few miles ahead of plan... but 176,297 feet of climbing is 2,500 feet behind plan! loved almost every mile of it with a very few poor route choices, poor tires choices, and poor fueling choices excepted. some silly stats:
2,989 miles
176,297 feet of climbing
184.25 hours in the saddle (pretty much literally, i almost never ride out of the saddle lol)
215.5w:average weighted power
16.2mph average speed
89.49 miles longest ride
5,759 feet most climbing in a ride
62 rides / 29.3 miles average ride
23.17 miles median ride
97 crossings of the golden gate bridge (50 rides involving the bridge, two one-way crossings as part of a loop, one ride of shame home in an uber b/c flat tire up north.)
i was way ahead of plan going into june but it's been a tough month with illness, travel, and four *$&#)&%$*(# flat tires in a couple weeks. NONE on my road bikes since i started more serious cycling in january 2020. seriously bad juju! here's my strava heatmap, with some photoshop editing to make it pop a little bit. fat yellow lines, lots of rides, thin blue, few.
